- Opinion: Credit Card Chips can't
be programmed by others except the credit card companies, banks
who disburse them with account numbers and owners. When looking
at the information about AI it is expected that banks will become
irrelevant. Since AI is not owned by anyone, peoples money will
have to be kept track of by each person on an implanted chip.
Everything is to be digitized, that has value from homes to spoons,
cash as well as paychecks. This digitized value will then be
used to shop, invest and save. It is planned already at the Amazon
stores to eliminate cashiers altogether. WalMart plans to follow
suit. Adding whatever leaves the shelf will be recorded on the
person's chip and automatically, instantly subtracted from their
digitized value.

Inserting microchips to humans may sound like a plot straight
out of a sci-fi television series like Black Mirror, but that
reality is now here. As part of its next year's festival, 10
VIP attendees of Pause Fest, a Melbourne-based tech and business
conference, volunteered to have Near Field Communication (NFC)
chips implanted to their hands.

- Today's commercially available
chips can only hold limited information and is still in early-stages,
but the embedded microchips contain a three-day pass to the conference,
with plans for it to be programmed to unlock your phone, launch
a business card, website or app on your iPhone or Android phone,
unlock doors to their home, gym, or workplace, and as a public

- In February next year at the conference,
the volunteers will join Kayla Heffernan, the insertable technology
expert and Melbourne University PhD candidate behind the experiment,
in a panel to discuss the ramifications of the chips' usability.

According to The Guardian, Heffernan, who has had her own microchip
for almost 18 months to unlock her front door and access her
office, asserts the possibilities of the application of injectable
microchips: "If you could use it for everywhere, so work,
home, gym and only need one chip, that kind of gives people more
incentive to get one. Payments are the killer application. As
soon as you can pay with it, more and more people will go ahead
and get these." A model that would hold multiple access
codes using one card is under development, as well as, a chip
with an encryption level suited for payment systems.

11, 2017 - The time is not too distant when human beings will
start having smart chips inside their bodies and robotic eyes
to see germs with naked eyes, according to panellists at the
World Economic Forum. Addressing a panel discussion on 'Mapping
Transformation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution', Zoltan Istvan,
a futurist and libertarian candidate for California governorship,
said currently six companies are working on developing robotic
eyes whereby people can see much closer with their naked eyes.

- "The robotic eye could be
placed inside the eye or at the back of the head that will allow
you to see germs and poisonous gases in your kids' room. Then,
you will have chips inside your body which will contain your
medical information. You can also use the chips to switch on
and off lights. With that chip, you can open doors by bringing
the chip-inserted hand closer to the door which would recognise
it and open for you. You also don't have to carry a wallet as
the data inside will have your bank details to deduct funds from
your account for purchases," he said.

- Istvan said no government has
regulated this chip until now. But in just two years, he disclosed,
the number of people on roads with chips inside their bodies
have increased from 10,000 to 40,000. "I got a chip implanted
but it became obsolete in two years and it had to be taken out
and I got a new one. It's sophisticated. In the future, there
can be sockets in your body where you can put in and pull the
chip out of the skin," he told delegates at the forum.

They're lining up for it. They're having parties to get it done.
It if isn't available to them, they're totally bummed out. I'm
not even going to venture into the religious aspect of having
a microchip inserted into a human being. Let's just talk about
the secular ramifications.

everyone has a computer chip implanted in them. Here's how this
could go. Initially, it would be the sheep who blindly desire
to be chipped for their own "convenience" leading the
way. Then, it would become remarkably inconvenient not to be
chipped - sort of like it's nearly impossible to not have a bank
account these days. Then, the last holdouts could be forcibly
chipped by law.

Read on, because I could not make this stuff up. Some employers
are chipping workers. Last summer, the internet was abuzz about
a company in Wisconsin that wanted to microchip their employees.
Workers at the technology company, Three Market Square, were
given the option of having a chip implanted in their hands and
50 out of 80 eagerly lined up for the privilege. Why? So they
could buy food or swipe their way through building security with
a wave of their hand. Software engineer Sam Bengtson explained
why he was on board.
